Well, it's still Pride, so keep celebrating.
For some reason last night, I couldn't get this Sing Along Sunday classic out of my head. I love the way she dances with her arms, and I incorporated that into my choreography all night long.
Enjoy. I'm off to get a Pride-y Mary or a Pride-tini or a Rights-a-rita.

Happy Pride, Everyone!!
It's Pride. Go out and be who you are.
Be proud of yourself, and be proud of your community and family.
Be proud of yourself, and be proud of your community and family.
Big Bad John
Oh, Senator John Cornyn, why? WHY?
This, dear readers, is absolutely real. Found it on Yahoo!, saw it on other pages, and let me tell you, it's absurdity at it's finest.
Watch, and then let's discuss.
Can you believe it? It sort of makes my skin crawl and my stomach turn, and then, I want to start it over at the beginning.
Some of my favorite lines:
"Makes lesser states squirm."
Coz, yeah, we like our senators to bully other senators?
"You're doing the Lord's work for Texas, and we got your back."
Thank God we've got Big Bad John on our side and not one of Satan's liberal minions.
"That place out yonder needs more men like you who shoot straight and talk straight and enjoy a good brew."
First of all, we have a woman senator, too. I wonder if Big Bad John's senior colleague appreciates all the misogyny and stupid good ol' boy rhetoric he's spewing?
This ad is idiotic. But, look at the product. And just because it's not paid for by his own campaing doesn't mean he didn't know what he was doing.
From the Fort Worth Star Telegram: "'This was a good-natured introduction we did at the Houston convention a couple of weeks ago.'
When the video was shown at the convention, Cornyn told delegates: 'My staff convinced me that it would be a good idea. Maybe I need a new staff.'"
Apparently, I'm a little late on this ridicule bandwagon, and it's already been on The Daily Show, but it sure doesn't hurt to continue spreading the word. Remember, this man is the one who tried to equate gay marriage rights to bestiality with his famous box turtle comment.
And just in case you forgot that quote:
"It does not affect your daily life very much if your neighbor marries a box turtle. But that does not mean it is right ... [N]ow you must raise your children up in a world where that union of man and box turtle is on the same legal footing as man and wife."
Please vote against this fellow Trinity alumnus in November. He's up against Rick Noriega, a Houston native and state lawmaker. At the very least, he can't be as bad as this idiot.

How Now Brown Cow?
Apparently, I forgot blogging means writing often and frequently and creatively. Sorry, dear readers. If any of you are left out there, come on back. I'm going to try to ease back into the water and start posting more often. I usually am full of empty promises. Dare I say this is not one of them?
Anywho, I truly have been swamped with work, but now work is de-swamping. April, May, and June are my favorite times of the year, and so far, this spring has been great. I hope you, dear reader, have also had a wonderful spring.
Here's to an equally Pink Armgageddon summer!
I thought I'd leave you with a few things I'm currently enjoying this spring/summer:
What are you enjoying out there? What are you looking forward to this summer?
Happy pride! More on pride to come.
